Directions

By Air:
US Airways serves Lebanon and Rutland Airports, which are just minutes away. Within a 90 minute drive is Manchester Airport, served by all major carriers.

By Rail:
Amtrak's Vermonter serves nearby White River Junction and Amtrak's Ethan Allen Express serves Rutland, a 30 minute drive away.

By Car:
From New York City, Connecticut and Central Massachusetts:
From Western points follow I-95 East, and at New Haven take I-91 North until your reach Exit #9 Woodstock and Windsor (mile marker 60). At the end of the ramp take a left and follow Rt. 5 and 12 North 9.5 miles until you reach Rt. 4 . Notice that upon reaching the village of Hartland within the first mile and a half, you must take a left at the bending intersection to follow Rt. 12 North. When you reach Rt. 4, take a left and continue West 3 miles to Woodstock.As you enter the Village of Woodstock you will find the Shire Motel on the right, toward the center of town.

From Boston and Points East: I-93 North from Boston will take you to Concord, N.H., where you will want to pick up I-89 North toward Lebanon and White River Junction. Get off at Exit#1 Woodstock and Rutland. Take a left onto Rt. 4 and head West to Woodstock. Enjoy the natural wonder of the Quechee Gorge along the way, and take in the scenery of Taftsville and its historic covered bridge. As you enter Woodstock you will find the Shire Motel on the right, toward the center of town.
